Facilities and Services
The departure area has ten gates, while the arrival area has six gates. forty immigration centers, forty-eight check-in centers, three customs centers, fifteen x-ray screening centers, ten aero bridges, three VIP waiting rooms, twenty-six lifts and escalators and one thousand parking spaces. In addition, the terminal is configured in accordance with the “GRIHA-4” standard for environmental friendliness. The airport’s roof is made to use solar energy to produce electricity. In addition, a Rs 75 crore air control room with a 42.5 metre high observation tower is being built. In this instance, it is reported that Prime Minister Modi will attend the January 2nd opening of the Trichy Airport’s new terminal.
